Google Lens is a built-in Google feature that enables image-based searches in the browser. If this feature is enabled, students can initiate Google searches even when using Trelson Browser Lockdown as the security client for an assignment. While they won’t be able to open the search results, they can still view preview snippets of the pages.
Currently, Google does not allow third parties to block Google Lens, meaning Trelson cannot prevent its use, even when a device is locked down.

Alternative Solution
If you prefer not to disable Google Lens in the Google Admin Console, we recommend conducting exams and assignments using the Trelson Kiosk app instead of the Trelson Browser Lockdown extension for since Google Lens cannot be accessed from there.
