To ensure that Trelson works correctly, it is important that both students’ devices and security clients are kept up to date. Below you will find the minimum version requirements for using Trelson.
Unlike other security clients, which are usually updated automatically, it is the responsibility of the school or municipality to ensure that the Safe Exam Browser is updated on students’ devices. We always recommend using the latest version to guarantee the best possible security and functionality. The table below shows the minimum supported versions.
Requirement for student devices
| Device | Supported versions |
| Chromebook | ChromeOS v110+ |
| iPad | iPadOS v14+ |
| Safe Exam Browser (for Windows) | v3.4.1+ |
| Safe Exam Browser (for MacOS) | v3.2.5+ |

Browser requirements for the teacher's web application
The teacher's web application actively supports the two latest versions of the following browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari
For the best user experience and security, we recommend keeping students' devices and browsers updated to the latest versions. This ensures that Trelson and the teacher's web application work optimally and are compatible with the different platforms.
