We have now made it possible to share tests and assignments in Trelson with colleagues, both within and outside the organization. You have the ability to share your work with, for example, a former colleague who now works at another school or in another municipality. By simply clicking on a sharing link, your colleague can easily recreate the assignment. However, it should be noted that added students or teachers are not transferred, only the settings for the test, the questions (modules), and added resources. This feature promotes a culture of sharing within the school world and helps streamline workflow!
In this article, we will go through how to share your created assignments.
Share exam/assignment with sharing link
If you have created a test or assignment that you want to share with other teachers, you can easily do so by following the steps below:
- Create sharing link: Click on the three dots to the right of the test/assignment name. Select the option "Create sharing link".
- Allow copying: Click on "Enable copying".
- Copy the link: Click on "COPY".
- Share the link: Paste the link into an email or message and send it to the person you want to share with.
Using a shared test/assignment
When the teacher who received the link clicks on it, the following steps will help them use the shared test/assignment:
- Copy the assignment: When the colleague opens the link, a draft of an assignment is created with the option to copy the assignment. Click on "Copy" at the bottom right.
- Edit and use: The colleague now owns their own copy of the test/assignment and can make their own settings. The copying teacher can edit, add, and remove from the test/assignment without affecting the original.
Important to consider:
-
Remember that tests and assignments can be further shared, so think carefully about who and why you choose to share a test.
- Make sure you own the material / have the right to share the material before sharing your assignment.
-
All of your tests/assignments are not automatically copyable; you need to actively allow copying for each individual assignment. If you want to disable the ability to copy an assignment that was previously open for copying, it is easy to do so by going to the option 'Create sharing link' and disabling the copying function there.
- This can also be done with templates, so if you are an administrator you can do the exact same thing - but for templates.
