As you start using Trelson more frequently, you might find yourself juggling multiple assignments and tests across various classes and subjects. To keep everything organized, Trelson offers two ways to organize your teacher view: Topics and Tags. Here's how you can make the most of them.
Using Topics to organize assignments
Topics in Trelson work similarly to those in Google Classroom. You can assign one topic to each exam or assignment, helping you categorize and locate them easily.
How to create and use Topics:
-
Create a Topic:
- Click on the +Create button.
- Select Topic from the dropdown menu.
- Name your new topic (e.g., "Math", "Science", "Class 9A").
-
Assign a Topic to an assignment:
- Go to the list of exams and find the assignment you want to organize.
- Click on the three dots next to the assignment.
- Select Change topic.
- Choose the appropriate topic from the dialog box.
-
Filter by Topic:
- Navigate to the left-hand menu.
- Click on the topic you want to view.
- The list of assignments will update to show only those under the selected topic.
Using Tags to filter and organize assignments
Tags provide a more flexible way to organize your assignments, allowing you to add multiple tags to each exam. This makes it easier to sort and filter assignments based on different criteria.
How to Create and Use Tags:
-
Create a Tag:
- Click on the +Create button.
- Select Tags.
- In the dialog box, you can add new tags, edit existing ones, or delete tags you no longer need.
-
Assign Tags to an assignment:
- Find the assignment in your list of exams.
- Add tags to the assignment as needed. Tags will appear as rounded icons next to the assignment.
-
Filter by Tags:
- At the top right of the list of exams, click on Filter tags.
- Select the tags you want to filter by.
- The list will update to show only assignments with the selected tags.
