Access restriction for users under 18 to unidentified third-party apps
We want to inform you about an important change that has been implemented by Google for Google Workspace users. Users under the age of 18 now have limited access to unidentified third-party apps unless user settings have been confirmed by the administrator. To restore user access, you need to add and verify the third-party apps that students will be able to use to sign in with Google.
Follow these steps:
- Sign in: Sign in as an administrator at admin.google.com.
- Navigate settings: Go to Security > Access and data control > API controls > Manage third-party app access. Tap on 'Add App'.
- Add the application: Search for “Trelson Assessment” and add the applications that appear.
We also recommend students to try logging into Trelson Assessment before important exams to ensure they have not activated two-factor authentication. Some students have inadvertently activated this, which requires access to their phone to be able to unlock Trelson. This action cannot be performed by individual teachers but requires administrator permissions.
