FAQ
Who can create a new organization in Trelson?
Only individuals who are Super Administrators in Google Workspace can create new organizations in Trelson.
Can I assign organizational roles using Google Groups?
Yes. We recommend assigning staff to different roles by adding Google Groups. This significantly simplifies administration, as any updates to the Google Group automatically grant access to the corresponding organization in Trelson.
Who should be the owner of an organization?
The "Owner" role requires the user to be a Super Administrator in Google Workspace. Each organization within Trelson requires an active user to serve as its owner. Initially, this role is automatically assigned to the Super Administrator who created the organization, but it can be transferred to another Super Administrator within the same domain.
It is advisable to designate a non-personal account, accessible only to specific users, as the organization's owner. This precaution ensures uninterrupted access. If the owner's account were deleted from your Google Workspace, for example, when the person leaves the organization, teachers and administrators risk losing access to Trelson.
NOTE! No content is lost if a Google account designated as the "Owner" of a Trelson organization is deleted. Organization users regain access once a new owner for the organization (with the Super Administrator role in Google) has been assigned.
How do I change the owner?
Only an owner can change who the owner of an organization is. If the person no longer works there and cannot help you change the owner, you need to contact our support at support@trelson.com
