Under the tab "Resources" - on the right, select "Add resource". Here you can e.g. allow students to access movies, sound clips and documents during the test. Available resources depends on which test security client the students use.
Google Drive
Basically any file that you can preview on Google Drive can be added as a resource to students. The files will only be in view mode for the students and they will not be able to edit the files.
Files that work:
- Google documents
- Google sheets
- Google presentations
- Pictures - Jpeg, Png
- Video - wmv, mpeg, flv, msvideo, webm, quicktime, matroska, mp4, 3gpp, mp2t
- Audio - mpeg, ogg, mp3, wav, flac, aac
YouTube
To add a YouTube clip, simply copy the link to the video and paste it when you select it as a resource.
GeoGebra
You can choose from several different GeoGebra calculators to attach as a resource to your students.
Web link
When you add a website to students' assignment , there are two different options.
- You can allow students to access only the current page that you have pasted
- You can give students access to the entire domain so they can click around there.
Media from file system
When you add this as a resource to an assignment , students will be able to insert a USB stick during the assignment and either access an audio file or a video file during the assignment . The selection will automatically pop up when the student inserts the USB stick during the assignment.
Google Meet
To be able to use Google Meet, you need to use the exam client Focus. When adding a Google Meet, Trelson will create a Google calendar event and invite students to it. This gives you as a teacher control over the meeting to e.g. be able to use "mute" on students.
Once students have started the test, they will have a tab with external resources where they can choose to join the Google Meet created based on the test.
Chrome extension
When you and your students use Focus as your client, you can extensions that should be active during the assignment e.g. IntoWords or other add-ons that the student can get support from during the exam or assignment.
To do this, you need to look up the extension in the Chrome Web Store and copy the link address to the extension in the address bar.
Under Resources, then select "Chrome extension" and paste the link.
When students now open the assignment , the extension you added will be whitelisted and will not be closed as all other extensions.
NOTE. Students must have logged in to the extension before opening the exam.
