The Color veil is a new assistive tool available on the Trelson Assessment platform. Exam officers or teachers can provide chosen students with a color overlay can help with dyslexia, visual stress, eye strain, and other visual processing difficulties. The Color veil covers the entire Trelson student screen during an exam. A student that has been allowed to use the Color veil during an exam can choose from 10 different color, and experiment until they find the right fit for them.
How to enable the Color veil for a student
- Log in to the Trelson platform and select the exam for which you want to enable the Color veil.
- Go to the 'Students' section.
- Find the student who requires the Color veil and click on the three dots on the right on the row of that student.
- Choose 'Customizations' and enable the Color veil option.
- Save your settings.
Once enabled, the student will have the option to activate the Color veil during the exam on the top right of their screen where there is a check box labeled "Color veil". Once color veil is active, a color picker can be used to select the preferred color of the overlay.
